About Ariose Ariose Women's Choir is comprised of approximately 30 singers from every walk of life - all of whom enjoy the challenge of performing beautifully written choral music of many styles and periods. Ariose strives to expose its audiences to a wide variety of women's choral music - much of it unaccompanied - which allows the choir to fill a unique role in Canada's rich choral landscape. Formed in 1995 by Dr. Marilyn Kerley in Edmonton, Alberta, Ariose celebrated its 10th Anniversary season in 2004-2005. To help commemorate this milestone season, the choir released its fourth CD, There, in that Other World, named for the composition that Ariose commissioned Allan Bevan to write for the same occasion. This CD was recorded live at Ariose's 10th Anniversary season concerts in December 2004 and April 2005 at McDougall United Church. More about Ariose's CDs
